Patanjali Foods appoints MS Dhoni as brand ambassador for two of its products

Patanjali Foods also unveiled that MSD's persona resonates with the health-oriented nature of the brand’s edible oil products.

The Indian company, Patanjali Foods has announced the former Indian captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni as a brand ambassador for two of its products, Mahakosh and Sunrich. 

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper will be featured in marketing campaigns of Mahakosh and Sunrich, as per the company.

Patanjali also unveiled that MSD’s persona resonates with the health-oriented nature of the brand’s edible oil products.

The net profit of Patanjali Foods Ltd increased by more than two times to INR 254.53 crore during the second quarter of this fiscal year. 

Its net profit for the previous year was INR 112.28 crore. According to a regulatory filing, total revenues for the July–September period of this fiscal year was INR 7,845.79 crore, down from INR 8,524.67 crore during the same time last year.

Sanjeev Asthana, CEO of Patanjali Foods, said, “Despite the challenging macro and operating environment, the first half of the fiscal year has ended on a positive note.

“The company’s Food & FMCG segment is performing in line with the targets and saw further expansion of higher contribution in the overall financial performance. This improvement is in line with the tactical shift in our business operations.”

The 2011 World Cup-winning skipper has always been the apple of the eye of many brands, as multiple renowned companies have roped him in as a brand ambassador – Maxivision Super Speciality Eye Hospitals, State Bank of India, JioMart, Free Fire, Asian Footwears, Swaraj Tractors, Viacom18, Enigmatic Smile, Orient Electric, MYK LATICRETE, Navi, G Square Housing, Garuda Aerospace, Turtlemint, and Fire-Boltt.
