State Bank of India names MS Dhoni as brand ambassador

As SBI's brand ambassador, MS Dhoni will play a key part in a variety of marketing and advertising initiatives.

One of India’s largest commercial banks, the State Bank of India (SBI) has named the former Indian captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni as its new brand ambassador.

As SBI’s brand ambassador, the 42-year-old will play a key part in a variety of marketing and advertising initiatives.

The partnership was announced through a commercial in which MSD was walking around the neighbourhood, watching individuals on their own journeys, and talking about being a fan of those who never stop working hard and never back down from their responsibilities, similar to the banking institution.

The former Indian captain’s ability to remain composed under pressure and his capability for quick thinking and decision-making under pressure make him a natural fit that resonates with SBI’s ability to engage with its stakeholders and consumers around the nation.

Dinesh Khara, Chairman, SBI, said, “We are pleased to onboard MS Dhoni as brand ambassador of SBI. Dhoni’s association with SBI as a satisfied customer makes him a perfect embodiment of our brand’s ethos. With this partnership, we aim to reinforce our commitment to serving the nation and our customers with trust, integrity and unwavering dedication.”

Furthermore, the affiliation represents the bank’s dedication to developing stronger relationships with customers, embodying the ideals of dependability and leadership.
