Etihad Airways unveils new brand campaign featuring Chennai Super Kings players

The Etihad Airways ad campaign features Mahendra Singh Dhoni, CSK team captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Deepak Chahar.

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has launched a brand new film series, commemorating its ongoing association with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.

The films feature cricketing legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni, CSK team captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, and pace bowler Deepak Chahar.

The series aims to capture the unifying power of cricket, a passion that transcends cultures and geographical boundaries – a value that resonates deeply with the UAE air carrier.

The Etihad partnership with the Chennai-based franchise extends beyond the film series. The airline’s branding is prominently displayed on the back of the CSK jersey. Additionally, Etihad is distributing “whistles with wings,” miniature aeroplanes, to engage cricket supporters and celebrate the CSK team spirit.

Cricket enthusiasts can visit Etihad’s activation booth at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium. Those who join Etihad Guest, the airline’s award-winning loyalty program, will have the chance to win Etihad Guest miles during the game. Every time the reigning champions hit a six, Etihad awards 30,000 Etihad Guest Miles to a lucky participant who signs up for the loyalty program at the stadium or online on the Etihad website.

Etihad Airways, one of the United Arab Emirates’ flag carriers, is known for its premium service and modern fleet. Established in 2003, it’s the second-largest airline in the UAE, operating flights to over 120 destinations across the globe.

Before this campaign, CSK players also featured in advertising campaigns for Eurogrip Tyres and Gulf Oil.

The five-time IPL champions will face off against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Friday, April 19 at 7:30 PM IST.
