The Indian Premier League (IPL) team, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have had a fantastic start to their 2024 season. The Knights have won three of their first four games, with the only setback coming at Chepauk.
With no serious injury concerns on their roster, the two-time IPL champions will aim for their third title under new mentor and former captain, Gautam Gambhir.
The unit’s middle order – Shreyas Iyer, Rinku Singh, Nitish Rana and Andre Russell – is the team’s backbone. The attacking opening duo of Phil Salt and Sunil Narine has been providing positive starts. The main drawback of the team is its bowling lineup, which includes inexperienced Indian bowlers. Though KKR have put on a great bowling performance in recent matches, the only concern heading into the next game is the consistency.
From today onwards, the side will play five back-to-back games at home, which can certainly decide its fate for the rest of the season.
