Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), based in Hyderabad, Telangana, are one of the prestigious and consistent franchises in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Kalanithi Maran, the head of the SUN Group, acquired SRH in 2012, following the termination of Deccan Chargers.
Sitting at number five on the table with two wins and losses, each, Hyderabad have had an eventful start to their IPL campaign. After a narrow defeat to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), they bounced back spectacularly, shattering the IPL’s highest score in an inning against Mumbai Indians (MI). Their momentum was halted by Gujarat Titans (GT), but they came roaring back with a clinical chase against the defending champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK). They’ll look to continue winning when they take on Punjab Kings (PBKS) tonight at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, Chandigarh.
