IOA sees massive sponsorship backing for Commonwealth Games 2022

India's best performance came in 2010 when they finished second to Australia in Delhi.

The 22nd edition of the Commonwealth Games (CWG) is all set to commence on July 28, 2022, in Birmingham and India will once again hope to see another successful outing in the quadrennial event.

India finished third in the Gold Coast 2018 medal count, trailing only Australia and England, with 66 medals totalling 26 gold, 20 silver, and 20 bronze. India’s best performance came in 2010 when they finished second to Australia in Delhi.

The upcoming multi-sport event in the UK will see a sizable Indian contingent, and the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has pencilled numerous lucrative sponsorship deals to support them.

Principal Sponsor:

IOA has announced an association with the Adani Group‘s sports division, Adani Sportsline as the main sponsor for the event. For the second time, the Adani Group has joined forces with IOA. The company previously teamed up with the Indian contingent at the Tokyo Olympics.

Associate Sponsors:

The IOA has roped in Amul and Inox Group as associate sponsors for the upcoming mega event.

Sports performance and sports lifestyle partner:

In this prestigious category, IOA has partnered with JSW Inspire, a sportswear brand. Not only will the company be associated with IOA for Birmingham 2022, but also for the Paris Olympics and the Asian Games 2022.

Other Sponsors:

Herbalife Nutrition recently joined as an official nutrition partner. Manyavar was announced as the ceremonial kitting partner while Adidas was appointed as the performance footwear partner. Furthermore, Borosil was named as the hydration partner while SFA has been roped in as the sports education technology partner for Birmingham 2022.
