The LALIGA unit, FC Barcelona have enhanced their association with Konami by signing a multiple-season extension.
Following this development, Konami will prolong to be Blaugrana’s official global partner and video game partner. Through this arrangement, the two parties involved aim to expand the collaboration between football and digital entertainment.
The video game company is also entitled to leverage the senior squad along with several assets to conjure content for the production of its game. In addition, Konami will also be able to team up with Barca legends who will be assigned as first-class ambassadors for the deal. The initial agreement between the two entities kicked off in 2016.
The renewal also contains in-ground brand exposure on match days, in the museum and in the club’s media. The LALIGA champion’s social media handles along with the content encouraging the eFootball series will also feature Konami’s branding.

The video game company, headquartered in Tokyo, has rich experience in partnering up with football teams and organizations – Atlético Mineiro, Arsenal, French Football Federation, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, AC Monza, and AC Milan.
In the previous month, FC Barcelona also signed a three-season deal with PRIME. The Barcelona-based Spanish top-flight club emerged victorious in the previous edition of the competition gathering 88 points. FC Barcelona will commence their new season on Monday, August 14 against Getafe at 1 AM IST.
