Arsenal, Konami sign partnership extension

The long-term association renewal will commence from the ongoing season.

The Premier League club, Arsenal have announced an extension of their partnership with Konami Digital Entertainment B.V.

The long-term association renewal will commence from the ongoing season. The initial affiliation was inked in July 2017.

With this development, Arsenal will be visible on one of the major clubs in Konami’s title series, eFootball. On the other side, Konami will prolong to be the English top flight club’s, official video game partner. The home stadium’s headrests of the seats will feature Konami and eFootball along with the home and away dugouts of Emirates Stadium. In addition, the club will continue to participate in eSports games including the eFootball Championship Pro.

Speaking on the extension, Chief Commercial Officer, Juliet Slot, said, “We’re proud to extend our partnership and give our supporters the opportunity to immerse themselves in an authentic Arsenal experience.   

“Arsenal and Konami both aspire to be at the forefront of fan engagement. I’m excited for us to work together to strengthen our collaboration and take our partnership to a new level, building on our shared values and giving our supporters more great opportunities to connect with their club.” 

Naoki Morita, Konami Digital Entertainment B.V.’s European President, commented, “It is very exciting to be announcing an extension to such a successful partnership. Arsenal are a massive club and have been a core part of our partnership roster over the past few years. 

“To have secured a long-term future that will include a multitude of commercial, image, and esports rights and activations is fantastic for KONAMI and for the eFootballâ„¢ series as it keeps growing, and we strive to set football free”. 

Lately, the Gunners also landed partnerships with Acronis and PRIME.

Konami has been on a signing spree recently, as the entity has struck deals with French Football Federation, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, and AC Monza.
