Indiana Fever announce Eli Lilly and Company as jersey patch and health equity partner

The Eli Lilly and Company logo will be displayed on the shoulder of the team's jersey.

Indiana Fever, a Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) team, have announced a partnership with an American pharmaceutical company, Eli Lilly and Company.

The Indianapolis-based pharmaceutical giant has secured a prominent spot on the Fever’s jerseys as the team’s official jersey patch partner. The corporate logo will be displayed on the shoulder of each Fever jersey.

The multi-faceted partnership extends beyond jersey sponsorship. Lilly will also serve as Indiana Fever’s health equity partner. This signifies a commitment from both organizations to collaborate on initiatives that aim to improve health outcomes throughout Indianapolis and the broader Indiana community.

The specific financial details of the agreement have not been disclosed by either party. However, the partnership allows both organizations to focus on critical areas such as supporting female athletes and promoting health equity within Indiana communities.

Rick Fuson, PS&E’s Chief Executive Officer, said, “The excitement around the Fever and women’s basketball means more opportunities for the Fever and partners like Lilly to shine a light on important issues like support for girls in sports and the need for improving health in Indiana communities. Lilly, like the game of basketball, is both distinctly Hoosier and truly global, and I am grateful to them for their ongoing partnership.”

David A. Ricks, Lilly’s Chair and CEO, said, “Improving health equity in our home state of Indiana is something the Fever and Lilly both care deeply about, and we are thrilled to partner with the Fever at this exciting moment in women’s sports. We know that great teams work hard to get better and achieve a common goal. Together with the Fever, we at Lilly look forward to bringing greater awareness and achieving better health outcomes for our fellow Hoosiers. That would be a win for everyone.”

Eli Lilly and Company is a major American pharmaceutical company founded in 1876. Headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, the pharmaceutical giant has offices in 18 countries and sells products in roughly 125.

Indiana Fever will jump ball the preseason in Dallas on Friday, May 3, against Dallas Wings and the regular season on Tuesday, May 14, when they travel to Connecticut to take on Connecticut Sun. The team’s home opener is set for Thursday, May 16, when they host New York Liberty.
