Mumbai Indians team up with KRAFTON India’s BGMI for IPL 2024

KRAFTON India's BGMI has been named Mumbai Indians' official partner for the upcoming season of IPL.

The five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions, Mumbai Indians (MI) have announced a sponsorship arrangement with KRAFTON India‘s renowned game Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI).

Following this new collaboration, the company has been named MI’s official partner for the upcoming season of IPL.

The announcement of the sponsorship was shared via the team’s social media platform. The post said, “Krafton 🤝 Mumbai Indians. We’re delighted to announce our official collaboration for the season! Ready to strategize and conquer the battlegrounds together! 🎮💙”

Developed by Krafton, Battlegrounds Mobile India is a special version of PUBG Mobile that is only available in India. The game was initially released on July 2, 2021, for Android devices and on August 18, 2021, for iOS devices.

In recent times, BGMI also developed a collaboration with the Mumbai-based unit’s skipper, Hardik Pandya. The association featured exclusive in-game items such as apparel, helmets, skins, voice packs, and cricket-themed emotes influenced by Hardik’s appearance and personality.

Ahead of IPL 2024, MI also added Castrol and BP, Goldi SolarKaspersky, SkechersNIC Ice Cream, Astral PipesPokémonSanghvi S3 Group, and playR to their sponsorship portfolio.

The side is all set to commence its upcoming season on Sunday, March 24, against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium at 7:30 PM IST.
