The Indian Super League is just around the corner as it returns for its eighth season on 19th November. The clubs have come to their final preparation before they step on the field. But before all of that comes the business equation where all the clubs sign partners or sponsorships ahead of the season, which is common for all.
Jamshedpur FC marks its origin from the city of steel, Jamshedpur, which made its debut in the ISL in the 2017-18 season. The Indian top league was expanding two slots following which one was won by Tata Steel, which is a subsidiary of Tata group, while Bengaluru FC booked another slot.
In their first season, Jamshedpur FC went to finish 5th in the league table, collecting 26 points in their 18 games. In the previous season, the club finished 6th with 27 points in the allotted 20 fixtures.
That’s all about their on-field performance, let’s talk about their performance on the business pitch, referring to sponsorship and partnerships.
Jamshedpur FC landed Tata 1mg as their official health partner this season. In this deal, the brand will place its logo on the shorts of the player’s kit, and in addition, it will promote the brand in-stadium during the club’s home games.
The club also landed a deal with the State Bank of India, labelling the bank as their principal sponsor. In this agreement, SBI will be featuring its logo at the back of the Jamshedpur FC jersey, while it will also promote its name on the club’s official website.
Apart from these two new deals, Jamshedpur FC has renewed its partnership with Tata Motors and NIVIA. Tata Motors will continue to be the automobile partner of the club and will be promoting its first sub-compact SUV, PUNCH, this season. NIVIA and Jamshedpur FC recently signed a two-year deal extension, which will see the brand as the club’s official kit partner.
The number of brands is bound to increase if the club performs exceptionally well. They will commence their upcoming season from 21st November, as they face SC East Bengal in their opening fixture.
