IPL 2023 KKR vs RCB: Match preview, head-to-head and streaming details

KKR lead the head-to-head competition against RCB.

In the ninth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will welcome Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata tonight i.e. Thursday, April 6 at 7:30 PM IST.

The Knight Riders will return to their den and play in front of their fans after a very long time. The two-time IPL champions received a major blow before the season’s commencement as they will be missing the services of their regular captain Shreyas Iyer. The ongoing campaign also didn’t start in favour of KKR as they lost against Punjab Kings (PBKS) over the weekend in Mohali. Attaining a victory against the in-form RCB will be a task but thousands of fans rooting for them from the stands might help the Kolkata-based franchise to do well. The new skipper, Nitish Rana will look to register his first victory as a skipper and put two important points for KKR on the points table.

On the other hand, the Faf du Plessis-led team are off to a flyer in IPL 2023 as they comprehensively beat the five-time champions, Mumbai Indians (MI) in their first game of the season. The skipper and former skipper looked in tremendous touch on the previous Sunday and will aim to replicate the same performance tonight. RCB are still in the search of their maiden IPL title victory and the franchise will look to carry the momentum further in the competition and conclude the trophy drought.

Head-to-head:
KKR lead the head-to-head competition against RCB, as both sides played 30 fixtures, the former won 16 games and lost 14. In the last outing between the two teams, the Bangalore franchise won against the Knight Riders by three wickets.
