In the 15th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will lock horns with Delhi Capitals (DC) on Thursday, April 7 at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai at 7:30 PM IST.
The IPL debutant will walk into this fixture on the back of two consecutive victories against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) respectively. After losing their inaugural game in the cash-rich Indian league against fellow entrant, the KL Rahul-led team bounced back and has been looking in good touch since then. Consistent contributions from Deepak Hooda and Ayush Badoni define the batting depth of the team. LSG will look to carry the momentum from their past couple of games and gain two more points.
On the other end, Delhi Capitals had to suffer a 14-run defeat against Gujarat Titans last week. After completing an exciting chase against Mumbai Indians (MI), the Rishabh Pant-led franchise failed to replicate their performance with the bat in their following game. Delhi’s bowling has been tidy so far but the contributions from the top-order batters seem inconsistent. The Ricky Ponting-coached team will look forward to some blazing starts from the openers in the powerplay in the upcoming game.
