In the 45th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will take on Delhi Capitals (DC) on Sunday, May 1 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai at 3:30 PM IST.
In a roller coaster of a season so far, Delhi Capitals must have gathered some momentum after a comprehensive victory over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) earlier this week. Kuldeep Yadav has emerged as a massive match-winner for the 2020 finalists. In the current season, the spin bowler has won four Man of the Match awards. DC have Rovman Powell, Axar Patel and Shardul Thakur in the lower-middle order, which provides a depth in the team’s batting line-up. Frequent contributions from David Warner have been a positive sign for the Delhi-based team moving ahead in the tournament. With eight points, the DC have acquired the sixth spot on the leaderboard.
On the other end, Lucknow Super Giants are giving tough competition to the others in the tournament. The IPL debutants are progressing as a dominant force in the intriguing IPL 2022. Defending a below-par total against Punjab Kings (PBKS) has displayed the quality of the team’s bowling unit. Mohsin Khan, Krunal Pandya and Dushmantha Chameera have been on the top of their prowess in the last few games. The KL Rahul-led team played nine matches so far, out of which, they won six and lost thrice. On the points table, LSG are in the third position with 12 points.
