The Indian Premier League (IPL) team, Delhi Capitals (DC) have inked a new multi-year sponsorship agreement with an Emirati multinational logistics company, DP World. Following this deal, the brand is set to serve as the global logistics partner for the IPL 2023.
DP World is a multinational logistics corporation with its headquarters in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The company specialises in port operations, free trade zones, logistics for freight, and maritime services.
DP World, which was founded in 2005 by the merging of Dubai Ports Authority and Dubai Ports International, manages 70 million containers every year that is supplied by over 70,000 vessels. Their 82 maritime and inland ports, which are scattered throughout more than 40 nations, contribute to a massive 10% of the world’s container trade.
