AS Roma announce Enel as official energy partner

According to the collaboration, the logo of Enel will be prominently displayed at AS Roma's stadium.

The Serie A team, AS Roma have inked a sponsorship association with the Italian distributor of energy and gas, Enel.

Following the partnership, Enel has been named the official energy partner of the club.

Enel is an Italian multinational power and gas maker and distributor. Enel, which stood for National Electricity Board at the time, was created as a public organization in 1962 and then transformed into a limited business in 1992. Following the restructuring of the Italian electricity market in 1999, the firm was privatized.

The company will work with the club to accomplish sustainability through comprehensive services and solutions for electrifying usage and utilizing renewable energy sources.

According to the collaboration, the logo of Enel will be prominently displayed at the Stadio Olimpico in Roma. During the Giallorossi’s Serie A and Coppa Italia home games, the firm logo will be shown on the stadium’s advertising hoardings, big screens, and backgrounds used for pre- and post-match interviews.

Employees, consumers, and stakeholders of Enel, as well as their families, will be able to see the grandeur and excitement of a football match up close due to tailored packages made accessible by AS Roma.

Michael Wandell, AS Roma Chief Commercial & Brand Officer, said, “We’re extremely proud to welcome Enel to our partnership family. This is a historic Italian multinational corporation, present in every corner of the globe. Enel is world renown for setting benchmarks within the electricity distribution sector and private renewable energy markets. Today we begin a journey celebrating two iconic Italian brands as we forge a future ahead rooted in innovation and sustainability.”

Roberto Deambrogio, Enel’s Head of Communications, said, “We’re delighted to announce this important partnership with AS Roma, which aims to bring sustainability to the world of football and bring more and more people closer to the energy sector. Through this agreement, alongside one of the most important teams in Serie A, we’ll show the club and its fans the world of Enel solutions and our products which allow for a more conscious, simple and efficient use of energy.”

Prior to this deal, the club also inked sponsorship deals with StarCasinò, 678.com and A2A, and extended collaboration with adidas. On the field, AS Roma have failed to get traction in the league, with only one point in three games. The side will next face Empolio FC on September 18.
