AS Roma rekindle sponsorship deal with former partner adidas

Following this agreement, the renowned three stripes of adidas will be worn by every AS Roma squad beginning with the 2023-24 season.

AS Roma, the Serie A team, have announced a sponsorship agreement with the German sports apparel entity, adidas.

Following this agreement, the renowned three stripes will be worn by every Roma squad (men, women, juniors, and Esports) beginning with the 2023-24 season.

The Giallorossi colours appeared on an adidas shirt for the first time on April 19, 1978, when the team defeated Verona 2-1 at home. A little over a month later, on May 7, 1978, renowned club captain Agostino Di Bartolomei emerged from the net with an identical outfit. Sergio Santarini and Giancarlo De Sisti, two other important individuals in Roma’s past, also had the opportunity to don that fashionable shirt.

Between 1991 and 1994, adidas produced some of the most well-liked Roma uniforms ever, winning the hearts of the Giallorossi supporters.

Those years were brimming with enormous enthusiasm, attractive clashes, and unforgettable occurrences that will linger long in the memory of Roma fans of a certain generation, including numerous cult heroes like Rudi Voeller, Thomas Haessler, Giuseppe Giannini, Abel Balbo, Ruggiero Rizzitelli, and Aldair, to name a few. Francesco Totti made his Roma debut in Serie A on March 28, 1993, in an away match against Brescia, wearing an adidas jersey.
