Women’s Bundesliga names Google Pixel as new title sponsor

Following the partnership, Google Pixel has now replaced the previous title sponsor, Flyeralarm.

The professional football league of women in Germany, Women’s Bundesliga has secured sponsorship ties with the smartphone brand, Google Pixel.

Following the partnership, Google Pixel has been named the new title sponsor of the league. The brand has now replaced the previous title sponsor, Flyeralarm.

Through this deal, the logo of the smartphone entity will be seen on the right-hand jersey sleeves of all the clubs in this tournament. This also includes placement of the branding integration on the stadiums via TV-relevant advertising rights.

With comprehensive digital activation rights that allow integration into fans’ matchday experiences as well as the development of content related to the marquee league, Google Pixel’s online presence will also be a key component of the partnership.

The partnership follows the DFB’s announcement that Google will become the women’s national team’s new sponsor in a three-year partnership, from 2023–2024 to 2025–2026. This sponsorship would feature the Google Pixel brand, which includes smartphones, headphones, and other consumer electronics goods.

Speaking on this new alliance, Dr. Holger Blask, Managing Director of Marketing, Sales and Events at DFB GmbH & Co.KG, said, “With its holistic approach, which now includes both the women’s national team and the women’s Bundesliga, Google Pixel has underlined its exceptional commitment to football. Together, we will further strengthen the visibility and attractiveness of the Women’s Bundesliga.”
