Tennis Australia forges multi-year licensing deal with Veritone

Through this Tennis Australia pact, Veritone has received the exclusive rights to license archival match footage of the Australian Open to content buyers in North America.

Veritone, a leading provider of digital asset management and licensing solutions, has secured a multi-year agreement with Tennis Australia, the governing body of tennis in Australia and organizer of the Australian Open (AO).

This strategic partnership has granted the media intelligence company the exclusive rights to license archival match footage from the prestigious Grand Slam tournament to content buyers in North America.

The audio and video analysis company boasts a vast customer base spanning advertising agencies, documentary filmmakers, editorial houses, and the arts and entertainment industries. This agreement provides a one-stop shop for these clients, streamlining their content acquisition process with easy access to a rich library of AO footage through Veritone’s user-friendly platform.

Commenting on the partnership, John Garcia, Head of Media Business Development, Tennis Australia, said, “We are excited to partner with Veritone to help drive the value of our archival media licensing business in North America. We trust Veritone’s deep heritage in managing Grand Slam® tennis rights and are excited to enable licensees in North America with greater access to the Australian Open archive.”
