With this extension, Bondi Sands continues to be the official sunscreen partner of the Australian Open until 2027.
This year, Bondi Sands will host a special activation at the Grand Slam Oval in Melbourne from January 14 to 28. It will also activate misting stations and sunscreen sampling throughout the AO site.
The sponsorship agency for Bondi Sands, Twenty3 Sport and Entertainment, negotiated the extension of the contract and will be in charge of executing the brand’s onsite initiatives as well as larger activation strategies.
Cedric Cornelis, Chief Commercial Officer, Tennis Australia, said, “We are delighted to announce that Bondi Sands has extended its partnership with the Australian Open as the Official Sunscreen Partner for another three years. Their commitment to sun safety aligns perfectly with our dedication to ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all fans throughout the Summer of Tennis.”
Expressing his remarks on the extension, Shaun Wilson, Co-founder and Chief Executive of Bondi Sands, stated, “As we have become a globally recognized brand and market leader in suncare, extending our partnership with Tennis Australia for the Australian Open has formed a major part of our strategy for the Bondi Sands suncare category.”
