Kartik Aaryan will spread the word about the ‘Bundesliga Dream India’ initiative on his numerous social media platforms, which collectively have over 44 million followers.

The young Bollywood sensation, Kartik Aaryan has been announced as an ambassador for the ‘Bundesliga Dream India’ initiative.

Aaryan, a gen-z superstar in India and the lead of several critically acclaimed Indian films, attended the national tryouts in Mumbai over the weekend. Along with working with the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga, the actor will spread the word about the initiative on his numerous social media platforms, which collectively have over 44 million followers.

The Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor is already well-versed in the Bundesliga. He travelled to Munich for last month’s Klassiker match between FC Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund (BVB), co-hosted with the official broadcaster, Sony Pictures Networks India.

About Bundesliga Dream India, Kartik Aaryan, said, “I believe this is what India needs to elevate the level of youth football. I have the same passion and dream for football as the Bundesliga does, and together we want to instill belief into aspiring young footballers and tell them that no dream is too small. We want to provide them with a platform to pursue their passion and chase their dreams”.

Bundesliga International Chief Marketing Officer, Peer Naubert, said, “We are delighted to welcome Kartik as an ambassador for Bundesliga Dream India. His love for football shone through when he was in Munich, and we believe that with his support, we can elevate the project to new levels. The Bundesliga has long been considered the home for Asian players, and we are excited to work with BigHit, Sony Sports Network, and with Kartik over the next seasons to establish a route for young, talented Indian players to train and play in a Bundesliga academy.”

The Bundesliga Dream project will pick numerous squads from the U-13 and U-15 age categories to travel to Germany for an extensive training camp experience.

Teaming up with BigHit, a multiple-sports platform dedicated to identifying and promoting athletic talent across India, six teams across each age level will be chosen to train with and play against clubs across Germany for the following one and a half years. The long-term goal of the initiative is to establish a route for gifted Indian football players to test their abilities in a Bundesliga junior academy environment.

The content of these football players’ travels from the national championships to the training camp in Germany will be shared on the Sony Sports Network and the network of Bundesliga local partners.
