Ipswich Town announce long-term partnership extension with MSC UK

The agreement between Ipswich Town and MSC UK has been extended until the end of the 2026/27 season.

The English Football League (EFL) Championship team, Ipswich Town FC (ITFC) have secured a three-year extension to their existing partnership with the shipping and logistics solutions provider, Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC UK).

The agreement has been extended until the end of the 2026/27 season, with MSC continuing as a primary partner strengthening the long-standing relationship between the two organizations.

MSC UK has been a prominent supporter of Ipswich Town for some time, previously sponsoring the club’s training and bench wear, as well as the ITFC Girls’ Academy Elite Training Centre. Specific details of the extended partnership were not disclosed; however, it is expected to maintain this existing support structure.

Ipswich Town FC, CEO, Mark Ashton, said, “We are delighted to have further strengthened our partnership with MSC. The Club is proud to be partnered with such a strong, local, business which shares many of our values and we are excited to be working together for an extended period as part of this enhanced agreement.”

Andy Wooldridge, Ipswich Town FC, Commercial Director, added, “For one of our major partners to have extended its association with the Club so soon is testament to the progress that’s been made over the last season. Our valued Partners are hugely important to our continued growth and we’re excited to be working with MSC for an additional year.”

Dan Everitt, Managing Director at MSC, said, “Our partnership with Ipswich Town has gone from strength to strength, much like the fantastic team performances on the pitch. As a global company with a UK head office based in Ipswich, we are incredibly proud to be extending our relationship with the Club and our local community.”

MSC UK, a subsidiary of the world’s leading container shipping line, Mediterranean Shipping Company, is the largest cargo shipper in the UK. Founded in 1977, the container shipping line employs over 850 people across the country with headquarters in Ipswich. The cargo company also operates a network of offices including London and Glasgow, and handles a wide range of cargo, from everyday consumer goods to raw materials for industry.

The 2023-24 season has been a dream run for the Blues. They secured promotion back to the Championship after a four-year absence. Led by manager Kieran McKenna, the Tractor Boys are placed second on the league table with 27 wins and currently stand a chance at automatic promotion to the Premier League (PL) after a 22-year exile. Their final match of the season is today against Huddersfield Town AFC at 5:00 PM IST.
