Real Sociedad appoints Cazoo as main partner and shirt sponsor

The association will come into play from July 1, 2022.

The popular Spanish football club, Real Sociedad have penned down a multi-year deal with the UK based car retailer, Cazoo. The veteran club appointed Europe’s leading car platform as its main partner and new shirt sponsor for the next season of the LaLiga.

Through this partnership, Cazoo will experience immense brand reflection across all the assets of the football club. This includes branding on front-of-shirt, across the Reale Arena, official club merchandise, online website and media hoardings that feature on television. The association will come into play from July 1, 2022.

Alex Chesterman, Founder & CEO of Cazoo, put forth his comments on the sponsorship and said, “We are very excited to be partnering with Real Sociedad. Just like us, they are a very ambitious club driven by results and have a passionate following and fan base across Spain and we are looking forward to engaging with the fans and local community and delivering the best car buying experience in Spain in 2022.”

Jokin Aperribay, Real Sociedad Club President, also commented on this deal and said, “We are looking forward to partnering with Cazoo next season. They have ambitious and exciting plans to continue growing in our market. We are pleased to be able to help Cazoo be close to our fans and make them aware of their innovative formula that is making them so successful.”

Cazoo has developed into one of the fastest-growing commercial firms in Europe, raising over USD 800 million for marketing and infrastructure. The firm currently also sponsors  Everton and Aston Villa and has recently partnered with DP World Tour for its French Open. The online platform has sold over 50000 cars in the UK and has a working crew of 3,800 spread across the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Portugal.
