Cazoo becomes the title sponsor of DP World Tour’s French open 2022

The competition will now be known as the Cazoo Open De France.

The prominent European golf league, DP World Tour, has extended its partnership with the car retailer, Cazoo. In this extension, the brand has been appointed as the official title sponsor of the tournament held in France, Open de France. The 104th edition of the French Open will be hosted in Le Golf National, which has also hosted the 2018 Ryder Cup.

The competition will now be known as the Cazoo Open De France. Through this association, Cazoo will witness significant global recognition through the extravagant on-course and off-course branding. This process would feature the online car shopping platform on the tournament’s tee boxes and markers, greenside hoardings, par and yardage establishments and caddy bibs.

The 2022 season of Cazoo Open de France will possess prize money of a whopping three million euros, which is double the amount rewarded in the last edition held in 2019. The thrilling tournament is scheduled from September 22 to 25, 2022.

Alex Chesterman OBE, the Founder and CEO of Cazoo commented on this expansion of partnership and said, “We’re delighted to be extending our partnership with the European Tour and adding Europe’s oldest national Open golf tournament to our portfolio of sports sponsorships. Following our recent launch in France, this deal gives us exposure to a great new audience and we look forward to engaging with the fans as we continue to deliver the best car buying experience across Europe.”

Guy Kinnings, the Deputy CEO of the European Tour group also gave his insights on this important deal and said, “We are delighted to have Cazoo on board as the Title Partner of one of golf’s most historic tournaments, the Open de France. Since joining the DP World Tour commercial family earlier this year, Cazoo have been a pleasure to work with and continue to show a strong commitment to growing the game of golf in new markets. Together with the Fédération Française de Golf, we look forward to working with Cazoo on an exciting new chapter for this prestigious tournament.”

Pascal Grizot, the President of the French Golf Federation also put forth his view on the title sponsorship and said, “I am glad and proud that such an important company as Cazoo has chosen to support our national open. I wish to thank the European Tour group and their staff, who have worked tirelessly to make it happen. This partnership proves that our historical tournament remains highly attractive and will continue to serve as an astounding showcase event for French golf. I am delighted with this dynamic announcement.”

This association is a result of the strong partnership maintained by Cazoo with the DP World Tour.
