With the 2021/22 season of the Premier League season up and running, it brings about the real beauty of the game with the fans returning to the stadiums in full capacity ready to cheer for their team. The 2021/22 season of the Premier League is undoubtedly one the most anticipated sports events of the current year.

The new season brought a plethora of sponsorship deals for the teams and the league itself, from sleeve sponsors to broadcasting rights deals, with big names being acquired from all over Europe to fans coming back to the stadiums, the latest season is going to play a crucial role in helping the clubs financially.

The league signed many broadcasting deals for particular countries from all around the world, Sky Sports, BT Sport, Amazon Prime Video and the BBC being the broadcaster of the league in the UK and Ireland with the deal has been reported to be worth $7 billion in total.

Several renowned players from Europe have been acquired by the English top-flight. Jadon Sancho was bought by Manchester United for £73 million, they have also reportedly finalized a deal for the French defender Raphael Varane. Manchester City bought Jack Grealish for £100 million, the Champions League winners, Chelsea FC acquired Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan for £97 million.

The biggest attraction of the new season will be the return of the fans inside the stadiums, the pandemic resulted in a financial loss for every club of the league. The earnings from match tickets and fan engagements dropped to almost nothing, the new season will see the players witness the energy of the fans inside the stadium. The lack of support from the stands has been a major hindrance for the clubs, which will change in the ongoing season.

The first game of the season saw Arsenal play against newly-promoted Brentford, who shocked the Gunners in the 2-0 defeat which was their first win in the English top-flight in 74 years.

In the evening, Newcastle United will be playing West Ham United at 6:30 PM IST at St. James’ Park while Tottenham Hotspur will take on the defending champions Manchester City in a home game at 9 PM IST.
