The Pakistan Super League team, Peshawar Zalmi has announced Red Bull as its official functional energy drink partner.
The two companies made the big announcement literally in the air, as a skydiver wearing a red and blue helmet floated through the atmosphere, revealing the yellow and navy-blue flag. Fred Fugen, a Red Bull Athlete, visited Pakistan and performed a skydive with the Peshawar Zalmi flag floating in the stratosphere to mark the beginning of the partnership.
Chairman Peshawar Zalmi, Mr Javed Afridi, said, “Red Bull is a major player in sports globally and is renowned for producing great content. I am excited about Peshawar Zalmi’s partnership with Red Bull and looking forward to coming out with something special for the fans this season.”
On the occasion, the team also revealed the hashtag #ZalmiGotWings in the announcement video.

There will also be a Red Bull Campus Cricket, which will be an annual global T20 competition for the university cricket teams.
Coaches and players from Peshawar Zalmi will back this competition and mentor the top universities that progress to the National Final. In a few years, the best players will be identified and considered for Peshawar Zalmi.
Meanwhile, Peshawar Zalmi has also renewed its association with Haier Pakistan as the main sponsor for the fifth year in a row.
The seventh season of the HBL Pakistan Super League will commence on January 27. The National Stadium in Karachi to host 15 matches, while the Gaddafi Stadium will host 19. The finals will take place at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
