Costa Rica-based online betting platform Betcris has signed a partnership deal with National Football League, becoming the league’s first official betting partner in Latin America.
The association will provide Betcris exclusive rights to use the League’s intellectual properties, gain brand visibility on digital properties of the NFL, such as NFL.com and the NFL Fantasy app, and an access to league’s official data feed.
Since NFL’s following is growing continuously in the Latin America region, the partnership with a trusted industry leader like Betcris will help the league in providing extra fuel to its growth in that particular territory. The partnership with Betcris will also see the brand becoming an official sponsor of the NFL International Series Games in Mexico in 2021. Terms for the same were not disclosed.
NFL Executive VP and Director of strategy and growth, Christopher Halpin said, “Betcris’ capabilities in this important region, and its management team’s experience and commitment to the highest standards, made it clear that it was the right partner for the NFL. We look forward to working together to attract new and existing fans in these markets.”
Speaking on the partnership, Betcris Chief Executive JD Duarte said, “This represents the culmination of years of work to make Betcris a household name in Latin America. With this partnership, Betcris now enjoys a great competitive advantage that serves our long-term goals well. The NFL has proven to be an ideal partner throughout this process and we look forward to working together.”
