The leading sporting tournament in America, the National Football League (NFL) has signed an agreement with the Brazilian TV network, Globo.
Following the pact, Globo will be seen delivering exclusive content from the renowned American sporting tournament in Brazil. All the content will be available on Globo Sports (GE) platforms.
The platform will have a special NFL page with information from the NFL.com worldwide website in addition to jointly produced material targeted specifically at the Brazilian market. Approximately 34 million people use Globo every month as active users.
Terence Ihm, Director of International Business Development at the NFL, stated, “Partnering with the largest media group in the country is significant and accelerates our goal to bring fans closer to the NFL around the world.”
Carina Guedes, Globo’s Head of Sports Digital Products, said, “This strategic partnership reflects our vision of creating innovative business models to help leagues and sports IP owners connect with their fanbases in more meaningful and impactful ways.”
The declaration that Brazil will host an NFL international series regular season game in 2024 has increased the country’s significance as a global market for the NFL. This NFL match will be the league’s first to be held in South America. It will take place at the Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo.
