Doncic expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, saying, “Joining Gatorade is an exciting moment for me. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with a brand that has supported so many great athletes. Basketball has given me so much, and together with Gatorade, I’m excited to help more kids experience the benefits of sports.”

Jeff Kearney, Gatorade’s Head of Marketing, said, “We’re excited to add another elite talent like Luka to our roster and are looking forward to fueling him during this year’s NBA playoffs and through more groundbreaking seasons. Luka emulates what it means to be a Gatorade athlete—leading others on and off the court and inspiring the next generation.”

Gatorade is a sports drink to replenish fluids and electrolytes lost during exercise. Developed in 1965 by researchers at the University of Florida, Gatorade is now a brand of PepsiCo, sold in over 80 countries. It comes in flavors and formulations, aimed at helping athletes maintain peak performance and recover after a workout. In India, Gatorade has partnered with the Indian cricketer, Hardik Pandya, and the Indian tennis player, Sumit Nagal.

Luka Doncic had a monster National Basketball Association (NBA) 2024 season for Dallas Mavericks. He put up incredible numbers, averaging a stat line of 33.9 points, 9.8 assists, and 9.2 rebounds. Doncic is locked in a tough first-round playoff battle against Los Angeles Clippers, where the series is levelled at one each.
