Mohamed Salah has been reportedly offered the biggest ever contract in the club’s history by the English Premier League side Liverpool FC.
Salah has been one of the best players of the club since he joined Liverpool back in 2017.
Ever since joining the club, Salah has scored 126 goals in 204 games for the Reds. The contract extension will reportedly be of two years and will make Salah the highest-paid football player in Liverpool’s history.
Salah has been leading the attack for the club and Liverpool will look to retain his services for as long as possible.
Salah currently earns £200,000-a-week through Liverpool’s contract which will run until the end of the 2022/23 season. The Reds will be aiming to exceed Salah’s wages and extend his contract for more couple of years.
The Reds commenced their Premier League season on 14th August as they defeated Norwich city 3-0 in an away from home fixture as Salah scored a goal and assisted the other two.
Liverpool will be relying on Salah to play a major role if they want to win the Premier League yet again and reclaim their throne.
The club will be facing Burnley on Saturday at Anfield and will look to secure the game and claim three important points.
Along with Salah’s potential contract expansion, Liverpool also announced the contract extension of Virgil Van Dijk and Alison Becker.
Salah played a major role in Liverpool’s first-ever Premier League title victory in 30 years in the 2019/20 season. He was also crucial in helping the Reds win the UEFA Champions League beating Tottenham Hotspur in the finals of the 2018/19 season.
