The Women’s Super League (WSL) side, Liverpool FC have expanded their partnership with the French multinational insurance brand, AXA.
Following the extension, AXA has been awarded the naming rights to the women’s team’s home turf, Melwood.
As per the expansion, the world-class facility will be officially known as the “AXA Melwood Training Centre,” reflecting AXA’s alignment of commitment to both the men’s and women’s teams. Beginning in 2020, the men’s team will call the AXA Training Centre home.
The club’s continued dedication to growing the women’s squad and girls’ academy is reinforced by the transfer to the top training facility, which also allows all players the chance to practice and compete at their highest levels.
Ben Latty, Commercial Director at LFC, said, “It’s fantastic to see our partnership with AXA expand to show their commitment to both the women’s team and the men’s team, which aligns with the ‘One Club’ approach we have here at LFC.
