Herbalife adds Riqui Puig to its decorated athlete roster

The agreement, extending through the MLS 2025 season, adds Puig to Herbalife's impressive roster of over 150 sponsored athletes, teams, and leagues worldwide.

The global nutrition company, Herbalife has announced a multi-year sports nutrition sponsorship deal with the Spanish football player, Riqui Puig.

The agreement, extending through the Major League Soccer (MLS) 2025 season, adds Puig to Herbalife’s impressive roster of over 150 sponsored athletes, teams, and leagues worldwide. The pact further strengthens the brand’s ties with Los Angeles Galaxy, building upon their record-breaking 17-year jersey sponsorship, the longest deal in MLS history.

Puig will actively participate in various initiatives alongside Herbalife. This includes collaborating on community service programs, like the entity’s work with A Place Called Home, and promoting the importance of proper sports nutrition. He will also feature in global marketing campaigns, including Herbalife’s healthy lifestyle movement, #ImWithYou. Additionally, Puig will play a role in motivating young fans and aspiring athletes to embrace healthy habits.

In turn, the nutrition brand will provide Puig with its NSF Certified for Sport Herbalife24 line of sports nutrition products. This line, alongside other health and wellness offerings from Herbalife, aims to optimize Puig’s performance on the field.

Herbalife is known for promoting healthy living through nutritional supplements like shakes and meal replacements. The nutrition brand also sponsors a significant number of well-known sports figures including big names like Cristiano Ronaldo, Virat Kohli, and Smriti Mandhana.

Riqui Puig is a product of FC Barcelona‘s La Masia. The 24-year-old plays for LA Galaxy in the MLS. The versatile midfielder has already chipped in with three goals and two assists in nine matches this season. He will play next on April 27 when LA Galaxy take on Austin FC at 11:15 PM IST.
