The forthcoming T20 cricket competition, Legends League Cricket, has announced Super4 as the principal sponsor of India Maharajas for the special match.
The upcoming edition of the competition will commence on September 16, 2022, at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata when India Maharajas take on World Giants in a special match at 7:30 PM IST.
The destructive opener, Virender Sehwag and the legendary all-rounder, Jaques Kallis will lead India Maharajas and World Giants respectively. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President, Sourav Ganguly was supposed to captain the India Maharajas side but backed out citing professional commitments.
The unveiling of the association was done by the organisers through their social media handles with the caption, “#LLCT20 is elated to announce @super4.in as the Principal Sponsor of India Maharajas for the special match.”
The competition will be conducted in six cities across India, out of which five are Kolkata, Lucknow, New Delhi, Jodhpur, and Cuttack. The venue for the playoffs is yet to be announced.
Adani Group, GMR Group, Manipal Education and Medical Group (MEMG) and LNJ Bhilwara Group have joined the tournament as franchise partners.
Virender Sehwag (Gujarat Giants), Gautam Gambhir (India Capitals), Harbhajan Singh (Manipal Tigers) and Irfan Pathan (Bhilwara Kings) are captains of their respective teams.
Legends League Cricket has signed Mera Hoardings, BookMyShow, Khushii and Skyexch.net as sponsors. The competition can be viewed on Star Sports.
In the previous week, Super4, the gaming application, also roped in the young India spinner, Ravi Bishnoi as its brand face.
