Manipal Education and Medical Group acquires team in Legends League Cricket

The new season of the tournament will begin on September 16 with India Maharajas taking on World Giants at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Manipal Education and Medical Group (MEMG) have acquired a franchise in Legends League Cricket (LLC), the T20 cricket league that features retired cricketers.

After Adani Group and GMR Group, MEMG becomes the third entity to acquire a team in the competition.

Through its subsidiaries, MEMG offers educational and healthcare services in India and around the world. For over six decades, MEMG has provided world-class education successfully and has achieved significantly in different fields.

Dr Ranjan Pai, Chairman of the Manipal Education and Medical Group, said, “We are extremely excited on this partnership with Legends Cricket League. Recently, the tournament also inked a collaboration with the online sports news hub, Skyexch.net.

The new season of the tournament will begin on September 16 with India Maharajas taking on World Giants at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The former Indian captain and President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Sourav Ganguly will lead the Maharajas and on the other hand, Eoin Morgan will captain the Giants. The competition will have its final taking place on October 5.
