The all-format bilateral series on JioCinema between West Indies and India will commence on July 12 in Dominica with the first Test.

The streaming platform of the Indian media broadcasting baron, Viacom 18, JioCinema has acquired the digital rights to India’s Tour of West Indies 2023. One of the quickest OTT platforms to gain humongous engagement will now live-stream the month-long series that includes two Tests, three ODIs and five T20Is.

The all-format bilateral series will commence on July 12 in Dominica with the first Test, which is then followed by the second in Trinidad. The Test series will also kick off India’s ICC World Test Championship (WTC) cycle 2023-25. Furthermore, the three-match ODI series will start on July 27 in Barbados and Trinidad. The five-match T20I campaign begins on August 3 in Trinidad, with the subsequent two matches in Guyana and the final two matches in Florida, USA.

Following surpassing all records and achieving unparalleled levels of engagement, viewership, and concurrency during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, JioCinema plans to continue to provide fans with their favourite sport in a never-before-seen format for free. Just like IPL, which was covered in numerous languages, the limited-overs actions in North America will also be broadcast in English, Hindi, Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. This is the very first time an international series will be shown in seven different languages.

Viacom18, Sports Head of Strategy, Partnership & Acquisitions Hursh Shrivastava, said, “JioCinema offered a seamless streaming experience that resulted in astonishing benchmarks never heard of. We pushed the boundaries of technological capability to affirm that sports is best experienced digitally. With the India Tour of West Indies 2023, we will forge ahead and offer our viewers a world-class presentation.”

The IPL 2023 became the most viewed digital event in the world on JioCinema, with over 12 million unique viewers tuning in to see the most exciting IPL Final ever. The enthusiasm and excitement surrounding IPL 2023 touched an all-time high during the Final when JioCinema broke a new world record by concurrently broadcasting the action between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to 3.21 million spectators.
