Myntra has entered the sporting world by associating with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) ahead of IPL 2020. With this, Myntra will be occupying the front-spot on the RCB jersey.
Earlier in 2019, Myntra has also signed Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma as the Brand Ambassadors for the e-commerce platform. The strategic partnership between Myntra and RCB is a smart move played by the brand.
With this deal, they’ll get access to all other RCB marquee players such as Virat, Ab De Villiers, Chahal, Finch and at the same time will also get a chance to be the merchandise partner for the franchise. Moreover, they will also get access to sell RCB Jersey, match kits, caps and use RCB logo on their website during the contract.
Last year RCB signed with Virat Kohli owned apparel brand WROGN, as the Official sponsor of the team. WROGN sells its apparels on Myntra, and this current partnership will help both the brands mutually.
One of the major attractions of the deal is getting Virat Kohli on board indirectly, which will surely get more customers on Myntra platform and also boost up the sales of RCB merchandise.
Well it’s interesting to know that RCB was the first team to get knocked out of IPL 2019, yet it is one of the top franchises to gain sponsors eyeballs. It’s truly because of one man, who runs the show and who himself is the biggest brand on the cricket field – Virat Kohli.
