PayZapp by HDFC Bank unveils several payment options with RCB players

PayZapp by HDFC Bank's advertisement featuring RCB players is live and can be seen on social media and during IPL matches.

PayZapp by HDFC Bank has unveiled a new advertisement in partnership with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

Wondrlab India designed a hilarious ad, featuring RCB players, Virat Kohli, Mohammed Siraj, and Cameron Green, emphasizing the absurdity of the players’ lack of choice in the ad but having several payment options on the app.

The film encourages renowned RCB players to “sell” like never before. The advertisement is live and can be seen on social media and during Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 matches.

Ravi Santhanam, Group Head, Chief Marketing Officer & Head – Direct to Consumer Business, HDFC Bank, commented, “PayZapp’s partnership with RCB is a strategic move to leverage the cricket season extravaganza. With cricket being such a popular sport in the country, the league gives PayZapp an ideal opportunity to enhance visibility and mindshare. The partnership helps us strengthen the ‘Choice of Payments’ brand positioning and build a better recall for PayZapp. We are proud to be the official payments partner of RCB.”

Amit Akali, CCO and Co-founder of Wondrlab India, said, “After the success of PayZapp’s launch campaign, our goal was clear: to craft an advertisement that would once again break through the clutter, particularly amidst the fervour of the cricket season. Collaborating with RCB provided the perfect platform to place the players in unconventional scenarios, while they talk about payment choices on the app.”

Gauri Gokarn, Content Director, Wondrlab India, said, “With PayZapp, we’ve always been quirky while talking about choices. And helping unleash the inner salesmen of the players was an absolute joy.”

HDFC Bank offers PayZapp, an online payment app. The basic concept of the app is that it enables users to make payments in numerous ways. For Android and iOS devices, the software is simply accessible via the Google Play Store or the Apple Store.

The bank further developed PayZapp to contribute to the Government of India’s ambition of digitising the economy and ensuring that the benefits of this application reach even the most distant parts of the country. Customers receive numerous benefits from this e-wallet, including the ability to transfer funds, shop online and offline, recharge, pay bills, and do a range of other tasks.
