IPL 2023 SRH vs MI: Match preview, head-to-head and streaming details

In a head-to-head matchup, MI holds the advantage over SRH.

In the 25th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will welcome Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad tonight i.e. Tuesday, April 18 at 7:30 PM IST.

Both teams appear to have revived their seasons with two consecutive victories after losing their opening two contests.

SRH have a reputation for being difficult to beat at home; their loss to Rajasthan Royals (RR) earlier in the IPL 2023 was their only setback there in their previous five contests. The Sunrisers have only lost three games in Hyderabad since the 2019 season. Harry Brook, the SRH opener, is in excellent form after recording his first IPL century in his most recent game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik and Marco Jansen are leading the capable bowling attack.

On the other hand, Mumbai Indians (MI) produced a remarkable comeback by defeating Delhi Capitals (DC) and KKR after beginning their campaign with two straight losses. To advance in the points table, MI will now try to maintain their current winning streak. The good news for MI is that captain Rohit Sharma will be able to play against SRH, although Jofra Archer‘s playing status is still in question. It will be intriguing to see how Piyush Chawla performs against players like Abhishek Sharma and Rahul Tripathi who favour smashing spin over pace. Most importantly, the MI fans witnessed Suryakumar Yadav develop some sort of form with a 25-ball 43, which is encouraging going forward.

Head-to-Head:

In a head-to-head matchup, MI holds the advantage over SRH. Mumbai and Hyderabad faced off 19 times, with Mumbai winning 10 games and Hyderabad winning nine.

In the last match between the two sides in the previous edition, SRH won by three runs.
