Disney Star, the official broadcaster of the Indian Premier League (IPL), saw a notable viewership of 51 crore for the first 51 matches of the 2024 season, according to Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India figures.

With 17 games remaining in the season, the broadcaster has also already surpassed the complete tournament reach of 7 seasons out of 8 in the BARC era. Furthermore, the broadcaster has registered an astounding total view time of 35,600 crore minutes, an 18% increase over the 2023 edition, demonstrating the engaging coverage that the broadcaster has provided during the tournament.

Moreover, the broadcaster has seen a noteworthy 18% increase in match ratings (TVR) for the first 51 matches compared to the 2023 season.

Major contributors to this include some of the season’s best matches, such as the riveting encounter between the Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), which had an incredible 8.4 TVR.
