IPL 2023 RR vs CSK: Match preview, head-to-head and streaming details

In the head-to-head competition, CSK have the upper hand.

In the 37th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023Rajasthan Royals (RR) will lock horns with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur today i.e. Thursday, April 27 at 7:30 PM IST.

With four victories out of seven games, RR are presently ranked second in the standings. The team’s on-field performance, however, fails to validate the position, as they have lost their last two matches. Their middle-order batting is a major worry for them. After losing a few wickets early on, RR appear to have no approach, which needs to be addressed and rectified. Even if Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal are still in great touch, Sanju Samson‘s inconsistent play is having an impact on the lower order. The 2008 IPL champions’ bowling is one area where they don’t need to worry. Even at the Chinnaswamy stadium, the team held back Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), who had been looking poised to surpass 200 runs quite easily at one point in the innings. RR will attempt to re-establish their supremacy and bounce back to the top of the table.

CSK, on the other hand, are on a roll, having won five matches in seven games. One of the two losses came against the team they are playing tonight. Nonetheless, the team will not dwell on that game because the players are fresh and in terrific shape. While Ruturaj Gaikwad‘s form appeared to be slipping, Ajinkya Rahane sprang up and began scoring boundaries for fun. Devon Conway isn’t stopping for anything while the middle-order batters are also in great touch. CSK fans need not be concerned about how the 20 overs will play out with Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni at the crease in the final few. The four-time IPL winners had some bowling concerns, but after spectacular efforts by Tushar Deshpande, Jadeja and Maheesh Theekshana, everything appears to be in order.

Head-to-Head:

In the head-to-head competition, CSK have the upper hand. The two teams played 27 games, with Chennai winning 15 and the Rajasthan-based team winning 12 times. In their last outing earlier this April, RR defeated the host by three runs in Chennai.
