In the 36th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Saturday, April 23 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai at 7:30 PM IST.
Royal Challengers Bangalore are going through a terrific season so far. They have ticked all the boxes in IPL 2022 till now and look forward to a solid finish in the ongoing edition. RCB will be heading into their upcoming fixture on the back of two consecutive victories. The bowling unit has been tremendous for the Faf du Plessis-led franchise with the likes of Josh Hazlewood, Harshal Patel, Wanindu Hasaranga and Shahbaz Ahmed. Dinesh Karthik, who averages over 200 in the current season has been firing on all cylinders. The Bangalore-based franchise played seven games so far out of which they won five and lost twice. With 10 points to their name, RCB have acquired the second spot.
On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad had an epic turnaround in IPL 2022. After losing the first two matches, SRH didn’t seem to be on the track, but overcoming their woes, the 2016 champions have won their last four games of the season. Frequent contributions from Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran and Abhishek Sharma have turned the tides of the team. The bowling line up – Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik and T Natarajan have been right on the money in their most recent games. Kane Williamson will look to carry the momentum and form in Saturday’s game. With eight points, SRH have secured the fifth position on the leaderboard.
In the head-to-head competition between the two teams, SRH have the upper hand. The two teams collided on 20 occasions, Hyderabad emerged victorious 11 times while Bangalore won nine matches.
In the last outing between the two teams, SRH won by four runs.
