Balkrishna Industries Ltd (BKT) has announced that they have renewed their partnership with the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the 15th season. For the current season, BKT Tires will be the official tyre partner for eight teams which includes Mumbai Indians (MI), Delhi Capitals (DC), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Punjab Kings (PBKS), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), and the newly announced Gujarat Titans (GT).
This season marks BKT’s first collaboration as the official tyre partner with SRH and the newly announced franchise GT, the second consecutive year with RCB and the third consecutive year with the remaining five teams. In total, BKT Tires was associated with seven teams last season.
BKT is well-known for being a supporter and follower of sporting events all over the world, from cricket to football to Monster Jam’s amazing acrobatics. BKT was the Tamil Nadu Premier League‘s (TNPL) associate partner for seasons 2021 and 2019. It had also partnered with eight of the twelve teams in the 2019 season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL).
BKT has partnered with sporting events such as Monster Jam USA, the Italian football Serie B, Australia’s Big Bash League, Spain’s LaLiga, Curling Canada’s Championships and both Women and Men World Curling Championships, the French Ligue 2 BKT, and EuroLeague Basketball. Furthermore, BKT has also been named the official tyre supplier for the upcoming Rugby World Cup France 2023.
