IPL 2022: EV firms join hands with IPL teams for brand exposure

The EV industry is growing at a rapid pace and appears to have a bright future.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is in the second half of season 15 and fans have already witnessed a number of close matches. Along with close matches, this season has seen an increase in the number of sponsors, owing to the addition of two new teams. However, when it comes to the variety of sponsors, the IPL has seen everything from fantasy sports platforms to beverage companies sponsoring different IPL teams.

In the ongoing season, multiple Electric Vehicle (EV) manufacturing and charging network companies have collaborated with several IPL teams. The four companies from the booming sector that have sponsored IPL teams are One Moto India, Bolt, Ather Energy, and Batt:Re.

One Moto India, the British company that sells premium EVs in India, has announced a sponsorship agreement with Rajasthan Royals (RR). Following the agreement, the official logo of One Moto India has been appearing on the back of the Royals’ playing helmets and caps.

Bolt, the world’s largest peer-to-peer EV charging network, has also signed an agreement with Delhi Capitals (DC). The agreement called for Bolt’s logo to appear on the sleeve of DC’s official jersey.

Ather Energy, an electric scooter manufacturer also landed a multi-year partnership with Gujarat Titans (GT). As per the association, it was decided that the company’s logo will appear on the front of the official team’s jersey.

Batt:Re, an electric scooter manufacturer, also inked a partnership with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Following the collaboration, the Batt:Re logo has been featured on all sponsor panels, the team’s official website, as well as the team bus and team car, as part of this collaboration.

The EV industry is growing at a rapid pace and appears to have a bright future. Whether for personal or industrial use, such as transportation and for delivery purposes, EVs are now making their mark across industries and soon might replace conventional fuel-powered vehicles.

India is preparing for the EV revolution and the industry has the potential of soon overtaking the rest of the world as the global leader.

This is an excellent opportunity for EV companies to put their best foot forward and market their brands, which will help them grow. EV firms will look for an immediate boost, and collaborating with IPL teams will certainly provide them with the desired exposure.
