IPL 2024 PBKS vs GT: Match preview, head-to-head and streaming details

Both teams played three matches against each other, with GT winning twice and PBKS winning one.

The 37th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 will see a clash between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Gujarat Titans (GT) today, i.e., April 21 at 7:30 PM IST at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh.

PBKS have had a close defeat against Mumbai Indians (MI) by nine runs on Thursday. The unit, which is second from bottom, clearly missed Shikhar Dhawan‘s services at the start of the innings, resulting in PBKS losing four wickets in only 13 deliveries. It is still uncertain if Dhawan will return tonight. In his absence, Sam Curran performed an excellent job of switching bowlers and field positions. Furthermore, PBKS’ batters must buckle down and perform well, as only Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma are putting forth significant efforts. Pacers Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh, and Kagiso Rabada will also have significant roles to play tonight.

After a disastrous performance at home against the Delhi Capitals (DC), GT will be relieved to have a game in just two days, and with all of the travelling, the unit will be fresh and ready for another confrontation. Skipper Shubman Gill will hope to get a good bit of runs and support from the stands as he returns back to his hometown. From the other end, Wriddhiman Saha would also hope to give GT a good start. As the only players to reach double digits in the last game, Sai Sudharsan, Rashid Khan, and Rahul Tewatia will look for ways to enhance that performance today as well. Rashid and Noor Ahmad will be quite dangerous with the ball in the middle overs, while Mohit Sharma‘s slower ones will be vital in the death overs.

Head-to-head:

Both teams played three matches against each other, with GT winning twice and PBKS winning one. In the last encounter between the two sides, which took place in the previous edition, GT won the game by six wickets.
