Rajasthan Royals have been off to a rollercoaster start in phase 2 of the tournament. They won their first game against Punjab Kings and lost the following fixture to Delhi Capitals. They have acquired the sixth spot in the IPL standings with eight points in nine games. A win against SRH on Monday will see them move onto fourth place in the standings and keep them in contention for the playoffs. RR will also be looking to depend on the services of the skipper Sanju Samson and Kartik Tyagi, who have been the in-form players for Rajasthan in phase 2.
Sunrisers Hyderabad have been struggling with their form lately, registering just one victory in IPL 2021. They face a tough battle against Rajasthan Royals as the entire squad of SRH looks out of touch. They have occupied the eighth spot in the IPL standings with just two points in nine games. Kane Williamson will be counting on Jason Holder for a match-winning performance in Dubai. Apart from Holder, Williamson, Rashid Khan, and Warner have to step up to improve their standings in the points table.
Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals have faced each other on 14 occasions. Both teams have won seven fixtures each.
The last time RR and SRH faced each other was in May during phase 1 of the tournament, the former won the match by 55 runs.
Rajasthan Royals – RR will be missing out on the services of Jofra Archer, Ben Stokes and Jos Butler. Evin Lewis, Oshane Thomas, and Tabraiz Shamsi are the replacements for the absentees.
Sunrisers Hyderabad – SRH will be without Jonny Bairstow but will have the rest of their squad.
