Golden State Warriors team up with FTX

FTX is one of the world’s notable digital currency exchange companies worth 25 billion dollars.

The National Basketball Association (NBA) team, Golden State Warriors signed an international rights sponsorship deal with the crypto platform, FTX. The NBA started allowing its clubs to delve into international agreements in 2019, to expand its presence and development.

FTX is one of the world’s notable digital currency exchange companies worth 25 billion dollars. The crypto platform signed a deal with the Golden State Warriors worth 10 million dollars. In this association, the NBA team will showcase FTX through its stadium, G-league team, gaming mock team and digital ads.

The specifics and contract details of this move are kept hidden from the public. FTX would get brand placement with the Warriors G league Club and NBA 2K Esports teams. Adding to it, the brand would also get access to in-arena advertisements at Chase Centre. FTX, while gaining the rights of the team’s NFT’s (Non-Fungible Tokens), would also get brand representation through the team’s regional sports network RSN, owned by NBC Universal, wherein their digital logos would reflect during local and national games.

Warriors President and Chief Operating Officer Brandon Schneider said in an interview with CNBC that “FTX is a company that caught our eyes a couple of months ago, we think we’re at the beginning of the beginning. We’re all learning, and this space will evolve quite a bit.” While appreciating the exchange firm, he said, “We think they’re a market leader headed in the right direction.”

FTX has also landed an association with the International Cricket Council. The cryptocurrency platform has also signed a long-term partnership with Mercedes-AMG Petronas
