The Lanka Premier League (LPL) team, Galle Gladiators have inked a new sponsorship association with an online news platform, 1XBat Sporting Lines. Following this deal, the brand is set to serve as the title sponsor of the LPL team for the ongoing season.
The club announced the partnership on its official social media platform. The post said, ” Join us in welcoming Gladiators’ official Title Sponsor @1xbatsportinglines for @lplt20 Season 3 🏏”
1XBat Sporting Lines, an online sports news platform, offers users with daily sports news. The company also collaborated with Kerala Blasters and East Bengal FC of the Indian Super League (ISL).
Previously, the team also joined forces with the health brand, Medicam. In this deal, the company has become the official hygiene partner for LPL 2022.
The Sri Lankan franchisee represents Galle in the Southern Province. Nadeem Omar, the owner of the Pakistan Super League‘s (PSL) Quetta Gladiators, acquired the franchise in 2020. Wasim Akram, Pakistan’s veteran cricketer, serves as the team’s mentor, while Moin Khan and Azam Khan are the team’s coach and manager, respectively.
The team commenced their LPL 2022 journey on the wrong foot as they lost against Kandy Falcons by five wickets. They next square off against Colombo Stars on December 11.
