Extreme E names Kempower as official charging partner

Kempower, which recently showcased their EV chargers at the Desert X Prix in Saudi Arabia, strongly emphasizes sustainability, much as Extreme E.

The sport-for-purpose electric racing series, Extreme E has announced a partnership with a modular and scalable fast-charging power source for electric cars, Kempower.

With this deal, the Finnish company has been named the championship’s official charging partner.

Kempower was established in 2017 by EV enthusiasts who developed and manufactured EV chargers and software that make dependable and user-friendly DC fast charging feasible for EV drivers all around the world. Their objective has always been to create long-lasting DC fast-charging solutions that can resist extreme conditions, making Extreme E a perfect testbed for developing and improving such breakthroughs.

DC fast-charging is especially useful in motorsport, as teams rely on quick turnaround times to make the most of their possibilities on the track. Kempower’s modular and scalable charging technology is paired with cutting-edge software to deliver the finest overall user experience. Kempower constantly updates, experiments, and develops DC fast chargers based on data and feedback.

Kempower, which recently showcased its EV chargers at the Desert X Prix in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, emphasizes sustainability, much as Extreme E. Along with charging options, Kempower is working to make itself 100% recyclable by aiming to cut landfill waste to zero percent by 2025 and to cut plastic packaging by half.
