Extreme E nets broadcast extension with RTVE

RTVE will broadcast all ten Extreme E races this season on its free-to-air linear channel as part of this renewed agreement.

The sport-for-purpose electric racing series, Extreme E has developed a broadcast extension with the Spanish broadcaster, RTVE (Radiotelevisión Española).

The network will broadcast all ten races this season on its free-to-air linear channel as part of this renewed agreement.

Teledeporte, the main channel of RTVE, will include coverage of race highlights, reviews, and magazine shows. All content will be aired in Spanish and Extreme E will be streamed live on www.rtve.es, the station’s digital website.

RTVE, the most prominent public media organisation in Spain, is headquartered in Madrid. With its reputation for embracing innovation and sustainable growth, the company is an ideal broadcast partner for Extreme E, which seeks to encourage the use of electric vehicles in society through creative “sport for purpose” content.

Ali Russell, Managing Director, Extreme E, said, “We are delighted to have extended our broadcast agreement with RTVE today as we prepare for Season 4 of the championship. RTVE is not only one of Spain’s premier broadcasters, but the organisation also shares many of Extreme E’s core values – both vital criteria in bringing our environmental message to as many people as possible.”
