British Airways name Emma Raducanu as global ambassador

The company have a long history of supporting countrywide sporting events and teams.

British Airways have announced the 19-year-old, Emma Raducanu as their latest global ambassador.

Emma became the first British woman to win the US Open women’s singles since 1977 in September 2021, at the age of 18. This victory helped her become the British number one and world number 19.

British Airways carried Emma and her team back to the United Kingdom. This will continue as the airlines will fly her around the world for different pieces of training and tournaments, including the French and US Open in 2022, as well as the Master’s events in Rome and California.

On the partnership, Raducanu said, “British Airways has taken such good care of my team and me ever since the US Open and I have felt their support everywhere I have flown. To be partnering with such an iconic British brand that can play a big role in my performance makes a lot of sense to me.”

Emma, with tennis, also has a passion for aviation and is especially supportive of women who want to work in the industry.

Recently, the bottled water company, Evian has also named the 19-year-old tennis star as its global brand ambassador. Raducanu has also been appointed as the brand ambassador of the US luxury jewellery brand Tiffany & Co.
